There are five types of ACCIS memberships.  As of January 2007, ACCIS had over 165 members.  Over 130 members are Chief Information Officers and senior staff from City and County I.S./I.T. departments.  Remaining members come from state government, political subdivisions, and government associations.

City/County Membership

  1.  Members (voting) One duly appointed Administrator, Director, or Employee of the department responsible for the County's/City's Information Systems or a County/City employee designated to represent the County/City.  Cost = $75.00/year.

  2.  Associate (non voting) One or more designated by a Member who is an employee of the County/City or other related organizations.  There is no cost to be an associate member.

Affiliate Membership

  3.  Affiliate (non voting) One engaged in Information Systems and/or administration at a political subdivision, state agency, or governmental association (such as MRSC, AWC, WACO, or similar associations) whose interest or policies bring them in contact with County/City Information Systems. Affiliate members shall only have the right to attend meetings and participate in discussions.  Cost = $75.00/year.

  4.  Associate Affiliate (non voting) One or more designated by an Affiliate Member who is engaged in Information Systems and/or administration at the same political subdivision, state agency, or governmental association as the designee whose interest or policies bring them in contact with County/City Information Systems. Associate Affiliate members shall only have the right to attend meetings and participate in discussions.  There is no cost to be an associate member.

Honorary Membership

  5.  Honorary Membership (non voting) One who is nominated by a voting member and approved by the membership at a regular business meeting to become an Honorary Member. Honorary Members are former Members or Associate Members no longer eligible to be Members or Associate Members who have provided a high level of service or significant contribution to ACCIS.

Vendors

Vendors are not eligible to be members of ACCIS.  Vendors may attend conferences at the non-member rates.  Vendors do not attend ACCIS business meetings.
